New Nintendo Switch Payload: ArgonNX
Guillem96 has a new payload available on GitHub: argon-nx. As he states in the description there, it’s meant to be used to choose which payload you’d actually like to launch; just use the ArgonNX payload, & then choose from any BIN you have located in the \argon\payloads\ directory. What’s nice about this is that you […]
Homebrewing ALL THE THINGS
Since getting homebrew running on my Nintendo Switch, I’ve been booting up some old hardware & getting homebrew &\or custom firmware running there. The most recent three after the Switch have been my Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation Vita, & PlayStation 3. I’ve had CFW running on my Vita for a while, but also haven’t turned […]
Scammers Using Microsoft’s Support Site
I just came across this video (posted yesterday), where scammers are leveraging Microsoft’s legitimate support site at https://support.microsoft.com/help. This was after I received a fake Microsoft support call. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a dummy VM ready to waste their time, but glad I found out about the use of Microsoft’s site. Because Microsoft uses LogMeIn, […]
Finally Found a KeePassXC Client for iOS!
Found out about this app from /r/KeePass: KyPass 4 (iOS) TOTP? I’ve always had a problem trying to get an iOS app that would work with KeePassXC databases. Seems to be working fine right from the start, so definitely worth the $6.99 price tag.
Useful Medium Articles
Two Medium articles that I end up using over & over & want to make sure I save: Medium: Run ResilioSync (Btsync) as normal user under Ubuntu Medium: Upgrade Your SSH Key to Ed25519
ANOTHER GOOD article about passwords
Very glad to see another post by a site, giving good information on handling passwords, security question answers, & the recommendation to use password managers. I last had a post about this in July, when Dreamhost also put out a good article about creating strong passwords for account security. The link to that article is below […]
ASCII Art: Random “Image”
Found this repository on GitHub & figured I’d fork it & add some of my own graphics to it: GitHub: DanCRichards / ASCII-Art-Splash-Screen And here is my fork: GitHub: veritas06 / ASCII-Art-Splash-Screen So far all I’ve done is modify the script to look at my GitHub repository (instead of DanCRichards’) & add a single graphic, just to […]
Linux on Samsung Galaxy TabPro S
I have picked ap a Galaxy TabPro S a year or two ago, but didn’t end up using it much since it was running Windows. I had always planned to try out Linux on it, but never got around to it until now. I installed Xubuntu, just to have a light OS, & the only […]
De-google-ify Internet
Found this site on https://lobste.rs. Has so great, open alternatives to proprietary services: Framasoft: De-google-ify Internet. The Framasoft web site also seems to have some great information on this topic as well. A network dedicated to globally promoting “free” and particularly free software. Many services and innovative projects freely put at the disposal of the general public. […]
